What are Solar Panels?
Solar panels (also known as “PV panels”) are composed of layers of silicon, phosphorous (which provides the negative charge), and boron (which provides the positive charge). They collect clean renewable energy in the form of sunlight and convert that light into electricity which can then be used to provide power for electrical loads.
A series of connected solar panels are called a Solar Array. The solar array sends the produced Direct Current (DC) electricity to the inverter, which converts the DC current into Alternating Current (AC) that can be used for non-DC appliances. Assisted by an inverter, solar panel arrays can be sized to meet the most demanding electrical load requirements for your homes or commercial buildings.
Perlight Solar Panels – Are They The Right Choice?
Perlight Solar is part of the Baolite Group which commenced operations in 1982 and has been building advanced solar modules since 2006. Over time, the group has grown from a small, family-run business to a large, international company with hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenue. Today, it is a global solar energy provider with a presence in more than 35 countries around the world.
More than 1.5GW of Perlight solar panels have been used in residential, commercial and off-grid systems built and installed around the world.
Key Benefits Claimed By Perlight Solar:
- Panel power production capabilities up to 355W.
- Salt Mist corrosion tested – perfect for harsh climatic conditions.
- High output & efficiency even under low light conditions.
- 12-year product warranty, 25-year performance warranty
Rest assured that with three decades of history and growth, Perlight’s 25-year warranties really mean something.
The Perlite solar panel has two warranties: a Performance and a Product Warranty.
The product warranty covers the integrity of the panel itself, and protects you against problems such as defects in materials or workmanship. If a panel suddenly stops working after a few months because of a flaw in its solder joint, for example, your product warranty will most likely cover its repair or replacement. Perlight product warranty will be for 10 years from installation.
Performance warranty will indicate that, over time, the power output of all solar panels diminishes or “degrades”. Knowing this degradation rate, Perlight gives you clear sense of the minimum amount of power you’ll be guaranteed for the first 10 and 25 years of your panels’ life. Performance warranty will typically guarantee 90% production at 10 years and 80% at 25 years. If its output is lower than promised, the local supplier will replace, repair, or reimburse you for the panel – depending on the warranty terms.
But without the proper service coverage from the local supplier, relying on these warranties alone can result in substantial unexpected costs for your business.
Here’s why. Let’s say one of your solar panels malfunctions. It has to be removed and a new panel is ordered, shipped and then installed. Who’s going to pay for those services? You? The manufacturer? You might think they’re covered, but they’re not.
This is where Clarion Energy plays a vital role! We have nearly 1MW worth of panels as ex-stock to replace your effected panel with prompt and efficient service at your requirement.
